The theme for the 50th International Eucharistic Congress is "The Eucharist: Communion with Christ and with one another." It is our hope that the theme will contribute to an enriched understanding of the Eucharist as true personal Communion with Jesus Christ and to a renewed understanding of the Church as an essentially Eucharistic community.
People of our Diocese are invited to join members of the other dioceses of the Antilles Episcopal Conference to attend the International Eucharistic Congress which will be held from June 10th through 17th in 2012 in Dublin, Ireland. The Eucharist is the source and summit of all Christian life. The Eucharist is the very sacrifice of the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus which he instituted to perpetuate the sacrifice of the cross throughout the ages until His return in glory. Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday there is a 12:10 Mass at St. Theresa's Cathedral in Hamilton. During Lent there will be a 12:10 Mass Monday through Friday. This is to provide more people with the opportunity to attend Mass during the weekdays, to pray for vocations to the priesthood and diaconate as well as to pray for our world so in need of turning to God during these troubling times.
