1^st Term                      September 2011 through December 2011

Thurs 15^th September   Benediction at Cathedral of St. Theresa – Catechists Service Awards and Introduction of new catechists – reception following – all welcome.

17 & 18 September      Parish programs open with prayer celebration – meet & greet students

Tue 20^th September      Parent Orientation for Kindergarten and First Grade at Cathedral of St. Theresa’s Hall at 7 pm (open to new students upper grades)

24 & 25 September    First Formal Lesson Begins (Lesson number 1)

Sat 24^th September       Confirmation Welcome dinner – Confirmandi, parents and sponsor invited                                 to introduction and presentation of textbooks (by invitation)

Sun 25^th September      Commissioning of Catechist at all parishes (Mass times to be announced)

Week of 3^rd October    Start of Confirmation Program (location and times to be announced)

Tue 4^th October            Grade 2 – Parent intro to First Penance and Eucharist – orientation and registration.  At the Cathedral of St. Theresa’s Hall 7 pm

Sat 5^th November         Confirmation Service Day – Car Wash funds donated to SVDP Society

Fri 2^nd December          Confirmation Advent Retreat – Confirmandi, parents and sponsors invited.  Held at the Cathedral of St. Theresa’s Hall 6:30 pm – 9 pm

17 & 18 December     Last Formal Lesson (Lesson number 10)

During Advent              Grades 3 through 8 have opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  (Times to be announce)

During 1^st Term            Holy Childhood Association donations of student financial stewardship takes place.  All students are asked to return the HCA boxes by December 25^th to parish Mass or class.

2^nd Term                     January 2012 through March 2012

7 & 8 January            Formal Lessons begin (Lesson number 11)

Tue 10^th January           Grade 8 Parent Orientations and Registration for Confirmation 2012.  At Cathedral of St. Theresa’s Hall at 7 pm

Sat 28^th January            Grade 8 students “Called by Name” retreat (1/2 day retreat girls 9 am/boys at 1 pm) at Cathedral of St. Theresa’s Hall

Sat 10^th March             Confirmation Service Day – with KBB (rain date following Saturday) 9am – 1 pm – Confirmandi, sponsors and parents invited to participate.  Location to be announced

Fri 16^th March              Confirmation Lenten Spirit Retreat – The Bridge, at Cathedral of St. Theresa’s Hall 4 pm – 7:20 (Confirmandi only)

Reconciliation Service – 7:30 Parents, Sponsor and family invited to participate in Penance Service and private reconciliation 7:30 – 8:30 Cathedral of St. Theresa’s.

Tue 2^nd April                Chrism Mass at Cathedral of St. Theresa’s at 7:30 pm, Confirmandi, Sponsor and family invited to attend by Bishop. (Regrets to Chancery)

24 & 25 April              Last Formal Lesson (Lesson number 18)

Sat 19^th May                Confirmation Spirit Day Retreat at Stella Maris, 10 am start, closing with Mass at 5pm. (Reconciliation offered during the day) Sponsors invited to attend and participate as team leaders or participants at retreat.

Fri 25^th May                 Confirmation Rehearsal at the Cathedral of St. Theresa’s at 6:30 pm.  Confirmandi and Sponsor

Sun 27^th May               Pentecost Sunday – Confirmation Mass at the Cathedral of St. Theresa’s at 2:30 pm.  Families must be seated by 2 pm, pre-Mass music celebration starts at 2:15 pm. 

Sun 3^rd June                  Most Holy Trinity – Confirmed receive certificates in parishes.  Mass times to be announced

2 & 3 June                  Last Formal Lesson (Lesson number 25)

Sun 10^th June                First Holy Communion all Parishes – times to be announced
