Father Palubeski was born in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada on June 1, 1939. He grew up in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. He entered the Congregation of the Resurrection and professed First Vows in 1958. Father Joe was ordained to the priesthood in St. Louis, Missouri in 1966. After teaching 17 years in the Resurrectionist High Schools in Ontario, Father Joe began his parochial ministry in 1983. He has served in parishes in Canada, Jamaica and USA. Since coming to Bermuda in August, 2003, Father Joe served as pastor at St. Anthony’s Warwick, before being appointed as Rector of the Cathedral in July, 2005.

Father Julio Blazejewski, CR was born in Poland and was ordained a priest in the Congregation of the Resurrection on June 11, 1964.  Father Julio served in four parishes before he became Rector of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mentorella in Rome.  He then was missioned to Brazil where he served in a variety of roles over a span of thirty-five plus years.  Father Julio spent one year at the Gregorian Institute.  In 2006 Father Julio accepted Bishop Kurtz's invitation to minister to the Portuguese community in Bermuda.

St. Theresa's Church ( became St. Theresa's Cathedral upon the establishment of the Diocese) was opened in 1932 to replace St. Edward's Church, the first Catholic Church in Bermuda, which had opened in 1859.  St. Edward's had become too small to hold the increasing Catholic population of the islandA much loved priest, Father Isaac Comeau, was far-sighted enough in 1915 to buy the land on Cedar Avenue upon which St. Theresa's Cathedral stands.  The new Church was built in a style suited to Bermuda; rather than being built in a Romanesque or Gothic style, a Spanish Mission type was chosen. As with any building, especially one in a sub-tropical climate, the Cathedral constantly needs upkeep. Over the past several years many improvements have been made: the refurbishing of the stain class windows that surround the knave of the Church, the installation of a beautiful  Rogers Pipe organ, a new lighting system and most recently a complete re-carpeting of the sanctuary.  The Blessed Sacrament Chapel is located to the right of the sanctuary and offers a quiet place to pray.  There is exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in this Chapel on Saturdays from 9:30 AM until 4:30 PM ( 1:30 PM in August).
